18.15 - Screening of the experimental film "The Cut-Ups" (Anthony Balch/William Burroughs, 1966) followed by a lecture on audiovisual perception and temporality. The Q&A will allow addressing questions of artistic practice and the relevance of Burroughs’s paranoid fantasies in a world of surveillance.
Dr. Peter Price is a composer, sonic philosopher and media theorist. He is a John Cage Fellow at the European Graduate School and co-director of thefidget space in Philadelphia, a research laboratory for new forms of art, performance, and media. Dr Price is also the author of "Resonance: Philosophy for Sonic Art" (Atropos Press, 2010).
